Graduating in 1997 with a Diploma in Health Science from the University of Malta, Karryn Darmanin Kissaun has been working as a physiotherapist for the past 21 years. In 2000 she attended a postgraduate course in Woman’s Health at the University of Bradford in the UK. She obtained her Master’s degree in Gerontology and Geriatrics from the University of Malta in 2017. She is currently involved in a research study related to falls in persons with moderate to severe dementia residing at St Vincent de Paul long-term care facility. Her main interests are older adults with dementia, residential care services for older adults and sexuality in later life.
