Mr Farrugia is an Allied Health Professional Occupational Therapist assigned at St. Vincent De Paul Long Term Facility, where his main expertise is in the management of persons with dementia. Mr Farrugia has specialized in this field and furthered his education by graduating for a Master’s Degree in Geriatrics and Gerontology. He is presently reading for another Master’s Degree in Ageing and Dementia Care.
He is currently responsible for providing occupational therapy input to four Dementia wards and the Dementia Day Care Centre in St. Vincent De Paul Long Term Facility. Presently, Mr Farrugia is also involved in ongoing research in dementia care within SVPLTF, and an educational program for informal carers in the community.
